Our kits have the option of a metal plumbing kit, which “T”s into the 1/2” copper pipe (includes T-piece, tap, one way 350 KPA pressure limiting valve and line connection) or an easy install plumbing kit which fits between your flick mixer braided hose end nut and the copper mains pipe end fitting. “T” and tap combo made in the UK, pressure limiting valve made in NZ.

ROYAL DOULTON STERASYL CERAMIC PRE-FILTER

Doulton, a company more commonly recognised for their fine china has been a leading name in drinking water filtration for over 150 years. The sterasyl is a ceramic cartridge for use as a pre-filter for the removal of parasites and bacteria. When the water flow slows you simply remove the cartridge, scrub off the outer discoloured layer and re-install. This filter will give a 2 to 3 year life expectancy. The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure inhibits the growth of bacteria. Doulton holds accreditation from the World Health Organisation, National Sanitation Foundation, EPA and a long list of other health departments in numerous countries throughout the world.

POLYSPUN 1 MICRON PRE-FILTER (Made in USA) – STANDARD OPTION FOR USE IN UNDERSINK KITS

The pre-filter is used in twin systems to protect your post filter. Working like a sieve, it removes dirt, rust, sludge and other foreign objects picked up by your water as it travels through kilometres of assorted asbestos, concrete or corroding galvanised metal pipes on its way to your house. This enables your post filter to reach its full life expectancy without being clogged. Good quality pleated pre filters are graduated and thus work by catching large particles in the outer layers and the finer further in. – Change 6 monthly.

The Ultracarb is a ceramic cartridge for use as a pre-filter for the removal of parasites and bacteria, which also internally has a specially formulated carbon block and ion exchange filter, which enables it to remove an extensive range of chemicals and heavy metals from the water. This core of this filter has a five thousand litre life which generally translates to 18 months for a family of four. When the water flow slows you simply remove the cartridge, scrub off the discoloured outer layer and re-install. The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure inhibits the growth of bacteria.
